On the N61 from Athlone, a while after Knockcroghery there is a left turn signposted MOTE PARK
On the N61 from Roscommon town, after the level crossing there is a right turn signposted MOTE PARK
Head in all the way through the forest, as you come out there are a couple of new build houses, the road bends slightly to the right and on your right you’ll see a high fir hedge, behind that fir hedge is Mote Park Cottage there are two flag poles and a bench outside and a de-fib machine on the wall.
If you follow the signs for Mote Park in Roscommon town and end up coming out past the golf club – keep going along the narrow road, eventually you will reach Derrydonnell Bridge, which is a bridge with a stone arch over it, keep going until the t-junction and turn left. Keep going left until you reach the fir hedge with the cottage behind it.
